Słyż, Levi & Sinfonietta Cracovia / Lincoln Center

On November 1, musicians and composers from Poland, South America, and the United Kingdom will perform at Alice Tully Hall (Lincoln Center) in New York City. The piece Pure Voices by Polish experimental composer Aleksandra Słyż will combine electronic music with the sound of string instruments performed by one of Poland's leading chamber ensembles, Sinfonietta Cracovia. The program will also include the official premiere of the album A Danger to Ourselves by Colombian artist Lucrecia Dalt, whose distinctive style combines elements of avant-pop, bold sound experiments, and Latin rhythms. Finally, Sinfonietta Cracovia will perform a selection of new and earlier compositions by London-based Mika Levi, including MAKING LOVE, FLAG, THOUGHTS ARE BORN, and SLASHER. Levi is known for her film scores for Jonathan Glazer's films (The Zone of Interest, Under the Skin) and her collaboration with Nan Goldin (Memory Lost, Sirens).
