Lee Reynolds

As part of the May edition of the Stars with the Sinfonietta series, we invited the rising star of British conducting, Lee Reynolds, to perform with our Orchestra. After a wonderfully received performance last May, this time Reynolds proposed a classic repertoire, but expanded it to include pieces by rarely performed composers, which display the entire palette of the string sound in the 20th century: from neoclassical forms, to the colours of Impressionism, to more experimental sounds.  It will also be a musical journey from North America, across Europe, all the way to the Far East. The programme will feature both great names (Claude Debussy, among others), and less recognisable composers (like Brett Dean).
